Executive Leadership

Sam V. Kumar

Founder and CEO

Prior to starting Cyber InsureX, Sam was responsible for New Cloud since founding the company in 1988. He also spearheaded technology research and development for GTE (Verizon Communications). Sam has over 30 years of executive management and technical experience. Sam is focused on establishing an effective corporate growth strategy and helping businesses fight cyber criminals.

Sam Kumar received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Sam is a leader in the Colorado technology community, acting as a board member for TiE Rockies and an industry advisor for Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network (BEN). He has also been profiled in Denver Post, Denver Business Journal and Washingtonian Magazine as well as honored as a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Emy Donovan

Director

Emy Donovan is the Chief Underwriting Officer at Resilience and a Venture Partner at Fin Capital, bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in property & casualty insurance. Prior to Resilience, Emy served as CUO at Boost Insurance and held the role of Global Head of Cyber, Tech, and Media at Allianz, where she led underwriting strategies for complex cyber risks.

Emy earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. She is recognized as an influential leader in the cyber insurance industry, advising companies on innovative risk management solutions to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Luis Filipe

Director

Luis is responsible for the management of all Captive’s and is the Chief Financial Officer for the group. Luis began his career in the Captive Management industry in 1999 in the Cayman Islands moving to Arizona in 2006 to join USA Risk Group. Prior to that, he was with Liberty Mutual, and a Controller at Canadian Surety. Luis received a BBA from York University and obtained CPA, CMA designation in 1996.
